The basic gameplay is almost entirely identical to the previous game \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.mobygames.com\/game\/70666\/hunters-trophy-2-europa\/\"\u003eHunter's Trophy 2: Europa\u003c\/a\u003e, the main difference is in the American locations. It contains five environments in the US: Alaska mountains, Alberta forest, Colorado plains, Kentucky marshland and Wyoming lakes. In the hunting season mode each environment is split up in six hunting plans to discover new animals, unlock new locations, earn new permits, unlock skills and eventually access ten guns. There are more than 20 types of prey in total, including badgers, brown bears, coyotes, ducks, moose, rabbits, raccoon, wild boars and wild turkeys. After each mission experience is gained to level up. There are also six shorter hunting sessions where you practice by training at ball-trap, shooting ducks or rabbits, or shooting from a fixed position in a tree, with both moving and fixed targets.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTracks are discovered by using a locating looking glass icons in the environment where the type of animal is identified. Different icons then pop up as you walk around that need to be found to complete the tracking. When another important trace found, in some missions it is possible to become the dog accompanying the hunter. Using a very wide FOV and a view close to the ground, traces through smell light up as red clouds and the hunter is outlined in blue. The dog must follow the scent that leads to the animal. It is able to move around, run and jump. Once completed, the dog barks towards the hunter you then control again to resume the hunt. When close, slower movement needs to be used and a bar at the bottom of the screen shows if you are visible to the animal. There are three types of dogs in total, each with different behaviour, unlocked gradually. Next to tracking and stalking, beating is available as a hunting option. There are also faster types of missions, for instance where the hunter needs to run around and kill three to five rabbits in three minutes, or missions where you first need to locate a good hunting spot.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEventually the hunting week can be unlocked as a third game mode. It allows players to freely explore one of the five environments and combine different hunts in a single session, based on activities such as using a hunting hide, stalking or jump shooting. There are different camouflage options with statistics based on movement speed, visibility, endurance and stealth. The game is played from a first-person view and it is also possible to zoom in. While aiming the gun can be stabilized and multiple stances are supported.
