In contrast to the \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.mobygames.com\/game\/64859\/pro-cycling-manager-season-2011\/\"\u003ePro Cycling Manager\u003c\/a\u003e series from the same developer, the player does not take control over a whole team but only a single athlete. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is still more a game of tactics, though. The rider, who takes one of the typical cycling roles, does automatically move forward and the player only gently steers into the general direction and controls speed changes (breaking and attacking). However, energy management is of the most importance - trying to get a fast lead is useless when the rider is exhausted after half of the stage. There is also the option to communicate with other athletes from the same team in order to coordinate tactical maneuvers.
