Two players face off in an arena with a low net in the middle. Points are scored by throwing a disc into the goals behind a player or whenever the opponent is not able to catch the disc in time. There are two moves: a regular throw and a lob. By using quarter-circle movement, players can also add effect to the throw. A single game consists of short sets of 30 seconds (international version) or 45 seconds (Japanese version). To charge the meter used for special moves, the player need to block, toss or lob the disc and then charge while the disc is in the air.
