The Deep Black Project, a video game in the “Action†genre (third person shooter), was developed since August 2008. The project utilizes all the advantages of the biEngine technology and will be available in Q3 2011 for PC, Microsoft Xbox 360 (XBLA) and Sony Playstation 3 (PSN). Deep Black features extensive gameplay (40 single player missions in 4 different environments) that offers a mix of terrestrial and underwater battles, which so far has no direct analogues in this genre in the global video games market.
Sci-fi project with detailed action-packed underwater combats will feature a new trend in TPS genre. Exciting game play suggests the using dynamically both environments for combats: land and underwater.
Unique setting of Deep Black comprises an immersive story line, complex science-fiction mystery, espionage and bio-terror. Story line runs up in nearest future in the world of unsteadiness, chaos, espionage, terrorism, desperate fight for world supremacy and possession of sophisticated biological weapon.
Usage of realistic physical effects in underwater environment enforces the player to feel all the deepness of fear and unpredictability of combats in Deep Black.
Players will take to the murky depths armed with a wrath of underwater equipment from specialized underwater suit with jet pack and integrated harpoon and other high tech equipment in pursuit of enemies. With the majority of the game play taking place below the water's surface, action-adventure fans will need to master new skills to fight hostile enemies and infiltrate enemy bases.
Underwater blockbuster will be released by Noviy Disk company on PC on the territory of the Russian Federation, CIS and Baltic states. PC worldwide publishing in other world regions will be carried out by the company Just A Game GmbH. The publisher for Microsoft Xbox 360® and Sony Playstation® 3 versions worldwide is the company 505 Games Ltd.
In 2012, Biart is planning to start working on Deep Black MMO game, which will be Free-to-Play project.
Game developed on biEngine Technology.
In Deep Black the player takes the role of an expert force specialised in undersea combat. The protagonist is up against terrorists which have their headquarters inside the ocean - which means he has to infiltrate those bases.
This game is a third-person shooter with levels located partly under water and inside said bases. On land the game is a traditional cover-based shooter: the player uses 14 weapons with primary and secondary fire modes to shoot at the approaching enemies. By pressing a button he takes cover and shoots from there. Under water he dives, but the main change is that the enemies are mechanical drones which also can be destroyed in melee combat by mastering a quick time event.
The soldier also has a jet pack, grenades and a grappling hook in his backpack which is used to solve simple puzzles, stealthily kill guards by pulling them into the water or reprogram drones so they become friendly. The levels are strictly linear.
