## Features
Save Room is a single-player logic and inventory management puzzle game. The game has no traditional story, instead presenting itself as a series of challenges inspired by the weapon and item storage systems of survival horror titles. The player's role is to organize equipment inside a confined grid-based inventory so that everything fits, simulating the preparation that might occur before venturing deeper into a hostile environment. Each level represents a different “save roomâ€, where careful arrangement of resources is the key to moving forward.
Core gameplay revolves around fitting weapons, ammunition, healing items, and other supplies into a limited space. Objects vary in size and shape, resembling a tile-based packing puzzle. Large rifles may take up long rectangular slots, while handguns or herbs occupy smaller ones. The challenge comes from rotating and shifting pieces within the grid until every item fits without wasted space. Unlike survival horror combat systems, there are no enemies, only the mental challenge of spatial organization.
As levels progress, complexity increases. Ammunition can be combined with its corresponding weapon to reduce inventory space, while healing herbs and food items can be consumed to clear slots. These mechanics pay homage to resource management from survival horror games, such as Resident Evil, while also serving as puzzle solutions here. Players must often decide the optimal order of combining or consuming items to solve a stage, adding an extra layer of logical planning to the spatial task.
