This release of the NHL series recreates the 1996 ice hockey season with a mix of realistic teams and custom teams, plus new moves and control schemes that match the team members' roles. Rules can be changed before starting a game in any of the three modes:
- Exhibition Mode - Plays a single game with any two chosen teams either against the CPU or a friend.
- Season Mode - Allows the player to play any game that takes place during the 1996 season. The player does not have the freedom to pick any team, only one of the teams that participate in specific games of the season. Later in the season, there is a bracket-structured playoffs tournament in which eight teams will compete for the Stanley Cup Champions game.
- Practice Mode - The player can do tryouts with zero to five players, even a goalie against an opposing team.
There is also an edit mode to create custom ice hockey players cosmetically and allocate 360 edit points across several categories of statistics for both goalies and defenders.

If your return is accepted, we can either send you a return shipping label to your email address used for the purchase, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package, we will deduct the cost of the return shipping label from your final return value. Alternatively, you can use your own shipping method to return the items. Any items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.
