Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution is a single-player and multiplayer 3D fighting game. The game is an enhanced version of Virtua Fighter 4 that expands the roster and deepens the single-player experience. Two new characters join the cast: Goh Hinogami, a judoka with a focus on grappling and counters, and Brad Burns, a Muay Thai fighter who specializes in rapid strikes and evasive movement. Players once again take the role of one of many martial artists competing in global tournaments, each with their own distinct fighting style.
Combat builds on the technical system of the series, where positioning, timing, and frame advantage determine success. Each character has a wide range of moves, throws, and counters, and the game emphasizes precision in both offensive and defensive play. Ring-outs remain an important tactical element, as victory can be achieved by forcing opponents outside the fighting arena. Evolution also refines animations and move sets, making character techniques more responsive and varied compared to the earlier release.
A major addition is Quest Mode, which replaces the Kumite mode from Virtua Fighter 4. In this mode, players select a character and travel across virtual recreations of arcades in Japan, competing against computer-controlled opponents modeled after real player styles. Progression through the mode involves climbing arcade rankings, earning the right to enter tournaments, and facing increasingly difficult challengers. Some matches include special conditions, such as limiting victory to certain move types, adding variety beyond standard combat. Quest Mode also introduces an item and reward system. Victories may yield money or cosmetic prizes, including clothing and accessories that customize a fighter's appearance. Money earned can be spent on additional customization options, character models, or background features such as wallpapers.
Other refinements include improved training and tutorial systems. The game offers a detailed Practice Mode that breaks down mechanics, move properties, and timing, along with a Challenge Mode that tests mastery of specific skills.
Multiplayer remains central to the experience. Players can compete locally in head-to-head matches.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
