Zombie Driver HD is an enhanced re-release of the Windows game Zombie Driver and also incorporates the DLC Zombie Driver: Summer of Slaughter. For the other platforms this is the first release of the game. It is a top-down racing shooter set in a city where most of the residents are turned into zombies following a chemical explosion. The player is one of the few unscathed people who manages to escape and as he is chased by the zombies, he jumps into a cab and flees. In the Story mode 31 missions need to be completed driving the cab outfitted with weapons in a free-roaming environment.
About one eighth of the Story mode has been reworked with new missions. They involve defending areas against waves of zombies, transporting cargo, rescuing survivors against a time limit, spraying anti-zombie repellent around the town, and boss fights. The two new modes for this edition are Blood Race and Slaughter. Blood Race consists of 30 events based around three game types: Race (classic races), Eliminator (take down vehicles with a time limit), and Endurance (a bomb race where checkpoints extend the detonation limit). The Slaughter mode is a survival game type with 7 arenas and a dynamic upgrade system.
There are 13 types of vehicles (9 more than the original game—including a bulldozer, a firetruck and a tank) and 9 upgrades in total. Other novelties for this edition are in-game cutscenes for the story, a minimap and an overview map, 3 additional types of enemies, a rechargeable nitro system to burn zombies, improved performance, and more realistic weather, fire, smoke and explosion effects.

Damages and issues
